Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha. That is what I usually do when I see a movie with Seth Rogan in it. This time, I did the same thing. Pineapple Express was hilarious. Seth Rogan is one of the funniest actors that there is. I never could have imagined that James Franco, better known as Harry in the Spiderman series, could also make you crack up. He sure knew how to take off his costume, and put on his wig. I would also like to mention Danny R. McBride, who played the role of Red in the movie. He was funny in this movie, and he was funny in the two other movies that I have seen him in. He may have been in more than three movies, but these movies are the ones that are making him famous. Besides playing the role of Red, he was in the Heartbreak Kid where he played Martin. He was also in Tropic Thunder where he played the role of Cody. In this movie, he knew how to take a few punches, bullets, and a bong in the head. This movie had all sorts of funny parts. For example, when Saul ( James Franco) tried to break the windshield of the car with his foot and it got stuck, that sure cracked me up. Or when Dale ( Seth Rogan) saw Ted Jones ( Gary Cole) kill that guy, and he tried to drive away, but his car kept hitting the car in front of him, and behind him. That scene was priceless. Or when Saul got stabbed in the shoulder by Dale's high school girlfriend, how creative to use a prop like an eating utensil as a weapon... ouch! Another thing that I would like to say is about Mr. Judd Apataw. This guy is the producer of some of the funniest movies of all time including, The 40 Year Old Virgin, Knocked Up, Superbad, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, and now he can add The Pineapple Express to his resume. He is on a role of hilarious comedies. Lastly, any movie has its pros, but with the pros come
cons. Some of the cons of the movie are that it may be inappropriate at times and is not recommended for children under the age of 15. Another con about the movie is my opinion only. I am a big fan of Jonah Hill. He is usually in the Judd Appataw films. He played Jonah in Knocked Up, he played Seth in Superbad, and he was in others too. However, he was not in Pineapple Express which dissapoints me. Finally, I didn't like the fact that Dale's girlfriend wasn't in the movie for a long time. They could have gotten back together and made her part bigger... but then again I am not sure someone of Seth Rogan's age should be dating a high school student. Weighing the pros and cons I still give Pineapple Express 2.5 popcorn buckets out of a possible 4.
I will be writing about a movie each day from any year. Please tell anyone that you know about my blog. All comments, opinions and suggestions are welcomed If you have a movie you would like me to review please let me know.
