This last movie that I saw is indescribable. It is originally a play. It is called Doubt. It is about a nun (Sister Aloysius) who is the Principal of a catholic school. She is very, very strict, and she will not give up until she wins. She believes that one of the students, may be getting taken advantage of by the priest(Father Flynn). The entire movie is about how Sister Aloysius tries to get Father Flynn to confess that he is sexually harassing the young boy. During the movie there are conflicts and heavy arguments between Father Flynn and Sister Aloysius. Also with Sister James who is a teacher at the school. She doesn't know who to believe meaning she has her doubts. Sister Aloysius is played by Meryl Streep and she put up a phenomenal performance. In my opinion she truly is the best actress of our time. Father Flynn is played by Philip Seymour Hoffman who also put up an award winning performance. Then there was Amy Adams who played Sister James, and Viola Davis who played, the student, Donald Miller's mother. Both of those women were absolutely tremendous. Amy Adams certainly can do more than play a princess in a fairytale. This movie itself was nominated for many Golden Globes, and should win at least one Oscar. That Oscar being Meryl Streep for best actress. This was a slow moving movie, and people who like only action movies, this is not the movie for you. However, if you want to get into a good story then you are going to enjoy this movie. There were no cons about this movie. Everything about it was absolutely amazing. I give this movie 2 thumbs up. If I had 10 thumbs, I would give it ten. I give this movie 4 popcorn buckets out of 4. I will be writing about a lot of the Golden Globe nominated films in the next week or so. Stick around to see what else is out there. It's a thumbs up year for movies!!!! Tell your friends if they "want to see a flick, twothumbsup will help them pick!"
