Captains Log May 25, 2009

The last movie that I saw is entitled Star Trek. Many of you have heard of this as a TV show and as movies, and many of you are obsessed with everything to do with star trek. The people who are obsessed with star trek are known as Trekkies. Most Trekkies don't want to see this version of star trek because the original cast members (Leonard Nimoy and William Shatner) are not playing the roles of Mr.Spock and captain kirk. However, Leonard Nimoy is a small role in this movie. Anyway, all of the Trekkies out there and all of the other people out there should definitely see this movie. It is a prequel of how Spock and Kirk got to where they ended up. Even if you don't know where they ended up it still is an awesome movie. This was honestly one of the best sci-fi movies that I have ever seen. This movie also had some dry comedy in it. In fact you will see appearances from comedians John Cho, Simon Pegg, and Tyler Perry. Chris Pine (Captain James Kirk) also threw in some funny jokes. Not only that but he did a fantastic job playing the role of Kirk. Another person who took their role and nailed it is Zachary Quinto, who played the role of Mr. Spock. Bruce Greenwood and Eric Bana also did a terrific job. One of my favorite parts in this movie was when Kirk was trapped on that planet full of ice and those monsters just attacked him. I jumped out of my seat and I never went back down. One of the things about this movie that I found in this movie that I don't find in a lot of movies was the graphics. The graphics in this movie was just so real, and if you are going to see this movie see this in theatres because you feel like you are actually in the movie. Overall I give this movie 4 popcorn buckets out of 4. I didn't think that there was anything wrong with this movie. It was just an all around great film. Remember, "If you want to find a flick, twothumbsup will help you pick."
