The last movie that I saw is entitled Nine (PG-13). This movie has an all star cast and I will try to name all of the important people in the movie. Here it goes: It stars Daniel Day Lewis, Nicole Kidman, Marion Cottilard, Penelope Cruz, Judi Dench, Fergie, Kate Hudson, Sophia Loren, and is directed by Rob Marshall. It is about an italian director named Guido Contini, who has been up and down in the Italian movie business. He is ready for his next big movie known as Italia, which stars his number one international actress Claudia (Kidman). The press is crazy about it, the crew is crazy about it, the director, not so much. Usually when you are setting up a movie you need a script. Guido did not have one because he was going completely insane. He is taking his wife for granted by sleeping with Carla (Cruz). He has no idea on what the script should be about, and everybody is driving him crazy. Whether it is talking to the press, what clothes should be worn in the movie, and even who should play the main character when nobody even knows what the main character acts like or what is her name. Rob Marshall creates a similar movie to his best oscar winning piece known as Chicago. The singing and dancing was incredible. From Fergie to Day Lewis all the way to Dench, they all did their own singing and nailed each piece. My favorite song was sung by Fergie and was entitled Be Italian. Unfortunately the movie itself was not as good as the acting. It was and ehhh movie for me. From what I saw there wasn't a plot, and the movie didn't go anywhere. There were a few parts that weren't even necessary. Each scene just made him into a sex addict more and more. You were waiting for the actual filming to begin and it never actually filmed. It was very flat. Besides that the acting was incredible. Lewis put his heart and sole into the role and he nailed it. As well as him Cruz, Cotillard and the rest of the cast were also very, very good. Some have opportunities to win oscars, but the acting didn't meet the script. The script wasn't that good and it is a shame that all of these actors were put together to make an ok movie. Overall it was only ok. The acting made the movie better, but with that kind of script even the best acting couldn't make the movie amazing. I give this movie 2 popcorn buckets out of a possible 5. I concur completely!!! I kept waiting for something to happen, but not much really did. I also do not like it when songs in movies have no meaning to the story and i found for the most part, they did not,,,,worth renting for the talent...

I still want to see it because of the acting and dancing but I felt the dame way about It's Com;licated - great cast, great acting but the story not so much - tomorrow its on to Sherlock Holmes - guess Nine can wait.
