The latest movie that I have seen is entitled The Ugly Truth (R). Directed by Robert Luketic and starring Gerard Butler and Kathrine Heigl, this movie is about a producer named Abby Richter(Heigl) of a news program that is losing its ratings and needs something to get it back on track. While another show called The Ugly Truth is starting to get a little more popular with arrogant host Mike Chadway who turns into that news program's something. Right away he is brutally honest and is not afraid to express the ugly truth. This gets him very well known. While he is doing this Abby has met new neighbor Collin, who she really likes but wants to make sure he likes her. Even though they got off on the wrong foot know it all Mike Chadway agrees to lead Abby into the person that Collin will fall in love with. There are bumps on the way but nothing that we can't guess. The thing about this movie that I did not enjoy is that it was one of the most predictable movies that I have ever seen. The thing that makes a movie stand out to me is the twists and turns that the movie has and this movie did not have them at all. Granted this is a chick flick movie but this was just way too easy. However this movie did have a lot of humorous moments especially when Chadway was actually dead on about his predictions. There are a lot of inappropriate words in this film as well. Overall I give this movie 2.0 popcorn buckets out of a possible 4.0. Remember,"If you want to find a flick,twothumbsup will help you pick."
